NO SUGAR Campione Italiano e vince l'EuroCup Asso99 2026 a Malcesine

The EuroCup Asso99 2026 came to a close this morning with the completion of the final two races, wrapping up a three-day regatta held from Friday to Sunday on the waters of Malcesine. Three intense days of racing, sailed in 10 to 20 knots of wind, delivered great racing and close battles right down to the final beat, once again confirming Lake Garda's appeal as a stage for the class.

Celebrating is ITA 109 NO SUGAR, helmed by Ivano Brighenti for Acquafresca Sport Center, who closes the event in first place overall and claims the Italian Champion title, taking it from the defending champions on ITA 105 ASTERISCO, helmed by Pierluigi Omboni for Circolo Vela Gargnano, who finish third overall and second among the Italian crews. Rounding out the Italian podium is ITA 146 DIAVOLASSO of Circolo Nautico Brenzone, third among the Italian entries.

In the EuroCup's overall standings, behind NO SUGAR comes USA 150 ROYAL ROLLY, helmed by Heinrich, Prinz von Bayern, for Bayerischer Yachtclub, confirming second place overall and the strong form of the German fleet.

A special thank you goes to sponsors Sunstripes and Gruppo Gemmo, who supported this edition of the EuroCup Asso99, and to the jury and race committee, who over the three days in Malcesine managed the fleet with great professionalism, delivering excellent wind and course conditions from start to finish.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Fraglia Vela Malcesine, which hosted this edition of the championship, providing its facilities and outstanding hospitality to all crews, both Italian and international, once again confirming itself as an ideal venue for the class's international events.

Finally, thanks go to all the crews who took part in the EuroCup, in particular the German and Hungarian Asso99 fleets, a constant and valuable presence at the class's main international events: many of them will be back in action next weekend for the Centomiglia del Garda.
