Double Poker of Aces at the Desenzano Winter Trials

The 32nd edition of the Fraglia Vela Desenzano Winter Trial kicked off with a day characterized by a perfect combination of sun and gusty winds of around 15 knots.An ideal context for the first test which saw the participation of over 60 boats with representatives of other sailing classes such as Dolphin 81, Surprise, Meteor, and the various ORC class vessels.Among the participants, the fast Asso99 proudly stand out with 10 boats registered.


Note of merit goes to the active participation of the Garda Sailing Schools, which contributed significantly to the composition of the Asso99 crews. The teams came from

Fraglia Vela Desenzano, Circolo Nautico Brenzone, Sailing School EstGarda, Sailing School GoSail. This influx of young talents has given a dynamic and promising character to the competition


The Asso99 class ranking after two races saw a hat-trick of Circolo Nautico Brenzone: in first place "LeonAsso", masterfully navigated by Andrea Farina, followed by "Kiss my Asso" by Leardini Davide, in second place, both from the School Gosail.

On the third step of the podium was "Gradasso" from C.N.Brenzone, with a crew led by FVD coach Davide Ferrari.


The success of the Asso99 boats only confirms their competitiveness and ability to attract talented crews.The day ended with the promise of further emotions, as the Fraglia Vela Desenzano Winter Trial will continue on 3 December 2023. Sailing enthusiasts and regatta lovers can therefore expect a winter season full of challenges and entertainment on the waters of theLake Garda.
